NUMB3RS GAME FOR STRANGERS

Well here are the most recent stats for Strangers Among Us. Not to shabby for a holiday weekend. I think it is the most fun I have had in sometime on the Internet. Thanks again to the group for making this happen. Everybody played an important role for this to all happen. It has been pretty cool to watch the cluster map to.

Its impressive to me that a thousand people came BACK to the site :)

Well, I think the visit length is set really low. But I can't verify that. In statcounter for my blog I set the visit length to 6 hours I think. The default might be 30 minutes or 1 hour. In that case the same person more than 30 minutes or 1 hour apart would ring up as two unique people. So I'm sticking by the fact that I think the real number of uniques is probably ~25-30% lower (unless the visit length really is set to something fairly high).

Regardless, the numbers are still impressive. I find it especially amusing that more people looked at Strangers in a day than the total that had viewed my blog from when I started it.

If we get 10 more readers out of all of this, then we're better than when we started. I wish some more of these had gone over to my site, but oh well. This is grand in and of itself.

Why exactly do you think they didn't go to your blog? You've never examined your stats (at least you hadn't the last time I asked). My guess is a lot went, but just didn't comment. Have Jeff look at your statistics.

I definitely got some increased traffic at lollygag as a result. My average number of visitors (a shockingly high 25 or so) almost doubled.

woo hoo!
