No time to Lollygag...

Well for you die-hards out there I am having to limit my goofing off time to just facebook. Look for me there.

Aquarium, Chattanooga, TN

Seamus really enjoyed his first hotel stay, escalator ride, and even the aquarium visit. There are some videos near the end.

Aquarium Trip Coming Up... Stay Tuned

We are taking Seamus to the Tennessee Aquarium on Friday. A colleague took this shot at the NC Aquarium at Morehead City. Several at the leadership program thought it was Bizarre that I was so interested in getting this picture of myself :-) How could you pass an opportunity like this up ;-)

Little surprises...

I have a small terrarium filled with carnivorous plants ...and every now and then when you least expect it :-)

From one extreme to the other...

Last week we needed snow gear. Today it was 75F and sunny. We had to break out the hats and short sleeves. Seamus has fun regardless of weather or anything else for that matter.

On the way to a Mexican Restaurant ... Seamus sports an I.M.B.A. hat. It is only a matter of time.

Great day on the hill.

Humor for the plant scientist....

When you live in the country you never know what might come down the road! (back porch)

First signs of spring beside the front porch!

da Vinci...

I am participating in Leadership North Carolina. A year long professional development program covering economic development, education, health care, government, and environment. On this last trip we got to see the da Vinci surgical robot. I even got to try it out on a training module. They didn't let me use it on anything that was alive :-) Incredible piece of machinery (1.7 million dollars worth). 12% of all heart surgeries are now conducted with this software/hardware.

Handy Seamus...

We are almost finished moving Seamus to his new room and Christine's office into his old room. I had to disassemble his crib for the move and he assisted in the reassembly.

The Best of Both Worlds...

I think this is the way most of the country felt on Tuesday!

Joe cool ...

Seamus doesn't really mind the cold weather much at all. He has also recently taken a liking to his sunglasses again. The other night he insisted on wearing them to the grocery store! The other customers got a kick out of it anyway. (Christine took these while she got him out of the house for a while)

Makes you wonder ....

When 'all-natural' becomes a product differentiator ...makes you wonder what is in some pizza. Especially when 'the Hut' is using it in advertising.

Winter Moon...

View outside my office late Friday. There have been some great moon rises recently.

Seamus rides his tricycle...

We had to make some slight modifications to the pedals and the concept of steering is still novel, but he is getting there.
