I'm amused that they recommend Chi Chi's brand chilis. I didn't know that Chi Chi's was still in business.

Oh no, wait, here's the explanation...from Wikipedia of course.

"Chi-Chi's was a popular Mexican restaurant chain from 19?? to 2004 when it went out of business due to a hepatitis A outbreak. Chi-Chi's had a line of grocery foods (later purchased by Hormel) with an emphasis on salsa."

And what else does Hormel make? Why Spam, of course.

There is always a marketing connection. Product line diversification leads to all sorts of cross contamination ads to get our dollars :-)

WTF?!?!?!?

We used to eat at Chi-Chi's back in college. I don't remember them closing, although now that I think about it I don't recall seeing one in a while (I guess in about 2 years!).
