This brings back memories. One of Quinn's favorite activities when he was little was we would go down to the local park which had a creek and he would spend all his time throwing rocks into the creek. Looks like Seamus seems to like doing pretty much the same thing. Makes me wonder what kids find so fascinating about it. I will say this is something that Catherine never showed any interest in though, so maybe it's a boy thing.
Funny you should mention it being a boy thing. I had friends in Vermont that owned a coffee shop. They were insistent on not letting their boys play with any toy weapons.
Despite their best efforts the boys manipulated sticks, cardboard tubes, etc., whatever was at hand to use in mock sword fights. ...maybe it is a gender thing :-)
a step up from throwing rocks...but not far :-)
